The Struggle Of Music
Everyone seems to think when you follow your dreams it’s all roses. You just set your mind to it and it all just falls easily into place. As a little girl, I must say, I had hoped that this was the case. However, I have come to find out, that this is the farthest thing from the truth. In my quest for success in music & entertainment I have seen many sorrows and disappointments. You would think anyone who has gone through what I have would just give up. I decided that I would not give up because music is much more to me than any monetary value. Music gives me hope, joy and the ability to strive harder than I did the day before to better myself and accomplish my goals. One of the only times I feel total freedom is when I sing and that is a place within me that I know no one can touch.
You have to be very careful who is around you and who "has your back" because, more often than not, the same people that will raise you up to super stardom are the same people that love to see you fall. So make your choices wisely. Music is a dying industry and we have to strive to keep it alive. I have been so close to closing quite a few major deals and right before the deal closes something has happened, a person even died and the deal would always fall through. Your chest just feels like it deflates. So you have to be strong, stay focused and positive. Perseverance is key and the will too never, never give up is imperative. Just know, it is not easy at all, but if you continue to do what you love, and master your craft, eventually your hard work, pain and struggle will be recognized. So feel encouraged for good things lie ahead.<3 ~Shauna Madinah~
