The first words that came out of my daughter’s mouth were melodic, as if she were singing a song”.
Shauna Madinah came into existence on this earthly plane November 21st in Berkeley, CA and was born into a very Musical family, from her grandmother being an extraordinary pianist, right down to her Mothers wonderful musical ear and Fathers amazing vocal and musical talent.
Her creative gene’s even go back as far as the early 20th century, as she is a relative of one of the greatest American Novelist’s, known by his pen name Mark Twain.
It’s no wonder that Shauna Madinah’s destiny is to be one of the greatest entertainers and vocalist of our time. Her parents knew early on, that this much talent needed a way to be expressed, so she was enrolled in dance class by age 4 and by the time she turned 5 she had already experienced her first live performance singing in front of a large audience. From there her Modeling, Acting and Voice over career began to take off in San Francisco by the time she turned 6, working her way through various talent agencies until she was chosen to be represented by one of the Bay Area’s top agencies, “LOOK Talent”, where she booked many jobs appearing in National television commercials and print ads, earning her “SAG” membership at a young age.

Madinah’s passion was so intense and she was so driven to be the best, her family being moved by her strong will, never say die attitude and exemplary work ethic, gave their support and their constant encouragement. It is their love and belief that has been the anchor that has kept her grounded, so that she might not lose her way.

At seven she landed her first musical theater role in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".

Her vocal training prepared her for many styles including pop, hip hop, musical comedy, R&B, soul and opera.
She wrote and performed an original song called “Constant Changes” for her high school graduation ceremony that left the people on their feet.
One of Madinah’s most memorable moments was singing back up for Shania Twain. Although she wasn’t a stranger to performing in front of thousands of people and large crowds, this was definitely a defining moment and she knew it was time to literally move forward. That’s when she packed up and moved to Los Angeles, right after High School.
With the continued support of her family and friends Madinah knew that her dreams and visions were starting to manifest …..She was selected as the lead singer in a professional all girl singing group that was also cast in the movie for late Motown legend Marvin Gaye. Just like Hollywood would have it some things just don’t work out or seem to be on hold forever. Madinah kept it movin and persevered moving on to pursue her solo singing career. She wrote and sang many demos for Top female artists such as Paula Abdul, Celine Dion etc. etc.
In Madinah’s more recent years she has branched out into many facets of the music and entertainment world such as producing, songwriting, scoring film projects, engineering, mixing, editing and moved into many different business aspects of the Industry. She owns her own state of the art recording studio and Entertainment Conglomerate… a young woman wearing many hats, a true multi faceted individual bursting with Promise.
Madinah’s music has attracted the recognition of World leaders such as Nelson Mandela which featured her music at his birthday Party in the Vodacom Stadium in South Africa and from that opportunity she was invited to the Humanitarian based Gala “United for a Better World” in Monaco with other ambassadors for peace such as U2’s Bono, Angelina Jolie and many others who attended this prestigious event.

Recently its no surprise she’s going back to the theatre a little bit, Madinah has been Cast in the Off Broadway Musical production of “The Little Black Dress” written by Tony and Oscar award winning Director Nolbert Brown Jr. Which is to tour the US this year.
The songstress extraordinaire Shauna Madinah, her soulful voice is electrifying and combines the vocal strengths of a Christina Aguilera with the musical prowess of a combined triple threat of Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, and musical sensation Rhianna. Madinah is a new breed of songstress that combines musical lyrics with a message of Love, Peace and Harmony with quality dance tunes that will make anyone sing along and dance to the rhythm of her beat.
Shauna Madinah how can one best describe such a being without using words like wonderful, beautiful, humane, sane, likable, lovable, miraculous, embracing, charming, inviting, affable, all heart, all soul, the essence of a wonderful human being from another planet. If that doesn’t say it all hearing her voice and knowing her talents will. The soul of Mahellia Jackson, The heart of Mother Teresa and the message of the most concerned and caring Creator has been instilled inside this rare and precious treasure. She is LOVE. You might say that’s putting a lot on it, for someone like this to live or be alive in times like these so dark and dismal it’s hard to believe, yet even her name Madinah means Lights and could be associated with the Matrea the Holy Grail, something sacred. Even the worst critic after experiencing the wind from her golden pipes had to say, “This is a voice having the purity of an Angel”, and so many that have heard her all say the same.
This incomparable Artist can truly be put on the pedestal of a Diva but would never seek its glory. Just think, from the tender age of seven she began performing at Disneyland for Children and turned into an International activist filled with compassion for our hurting humanity.
She is the voice of a movement with more than just lip service, she has used her own hands to help build homes and orphanages in Tijuana Mexico for the less fortunate and stretches forth her arms out to feed the homeless. From Northern California to Southern California on skid row in downtown Los Angeles extending all the way to Africa, she shows love and patience for several thousands of men, woman, and children and the list goes on, yet has no need for anyone to sing her praises.
What a Phenomena, what an Enigma, what a Star Child, young woman, a role model for the ages. Madinah’s destined to be more famous than sliced bread and if we could bottle her up like Coke a Cola, everybody would know that she is the real thing. A love like this is so much better than love. It can’t be confined or restricted by the walls of race, color, or creed, instead we must let it go and let it flow.
To sum it all up, imagine, to live in a world without hope, without love, without faith, without good, would be a world devoid of the likes of Shauna Madinah, and that just simply wouldn't be a world at all.
